Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) was on Monday 4th February, 2013 sworn-in by His Excellency, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Subsequently, he was appointed as the Honourable Minister of the Ministry of Special Duties, Presidency, on Wednesday 6th February 2013 and he assumed duty immediately.

Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) was born 54 years in Birnin-Kebbi in Kebbi State. Barrister Tanimu Turaki attended the University of Jos, Plateau State, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Law. He was called to the bar after completing his studies at the Nigerian Law School in Lagos.

He has over 25 years post qualification experience having worked in the private and public sectors making unassailable impacts. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).  He is also a traditional title holder as Dan Masani.

Barrister Turaki is a principal partner at K.T. Turaki and Co. Solicitors and Advocates. He is the Chairman, Bank of the Trustees.  He has served in various Presidential Committees.
Alhaji K.T. Turaki was a gubernatorial candidate for the Kebbi State Governorship election in 2011.  He is a fine politician who holds moderate political views.
